Pow-Wows 1986-1991 After Music & Prophecy, Jon and I gradually began to realize we had a uniquely diverse and sophisticated community of friends, roughly divided into artists and scientists. We started to poll people regarding their interest in a gathering to start a dialog between the two groups, and to share interests that were not being supported by our careers or by mainstream society and culture. The first Pow-Wow was the most exciting thing any of us had ever done.
