Serial Drawings 1982-1985 This was my first clue that I was really onto something. I wasn't making pictures for a gallery or a museum any more. I was making pictures to share with my community, using images that were familiar to all of us from our environment. I whipped out hundreds of these drawings, tacking them up on the walls of our shared space as soon as they were finished, reshuffling them in different combinations, getting feedback from my roommates, bandmates, and the dozens of visitors who trafficked through our loft every week. |
