Artist in Residence Visit me in my desert retreat...enjoy artistic meals...witness primitive Scottish games. We get an overwhelming barrage of information from media and from our civilized environment. Do we know how to distinguish the signal from the noise, the relevant from the irrelevant? Do we know how to make sense of relevant information, putting it in context, balance, and perspective? Do we know how to use it to take stock of our lives, our families, communities, and the natural environment? I'm working on symbolic visualizations to help with this, and to help us seek answers to an important question: Are we making the world a better place for future generations? |
